Red Corvette

Back in 2015 her good self was speaking at a conference in San Francisco. My sons and I tagged along.

Saw an old chap in good shape spring out of a 70s red corvette by the Golden Gate Bridge. He had a pathetic little dog in his arms. Hard to believe it evolved from wolves. I made a quick picture but it was dull. I should have taken a moment to work the scene to get a decent photograph but didn't want to annoy my family. I do that enough. It bothered me for the rest of the trip.

Years later I discovered a 70s red Corvette parked in my neighbourhood here in southeast London. I've had my eye on it for ages. Waiting for good light.

Surrounding the vehicle are the usual kerbside black, green and brown wheelie bins and other less lovely looking cars. But when the light is right, all that stuff can be hidden. So I went up there the other evening and made a few pictures. Was hoping for dramatic sun flare but couldn't get that going. Then a fella walked past wearing a red jacket and bingo, I had my picture.

Owner stuck his head out an upstairs window wondering what I was doing. I said I'd had my eye on the car for a while waiting for decent light such that I could make a picture. He muttered something, nodded his head and disappeared.

That's all I have for you. Thanks for your time.
