Travelling through France
My wife is to speak at a conference in Cagliari, Sardinia this week. I have accompanied her. I will make work for my next book while I'm here.
We travelled over land and sea rather than fly. Trains to Toulon, France and then ferry to Olbia, northern Sardinia and trains again to Cagliari on the south coast.

Final approach to Olbia, northern Sardinia.
I brought my Leica M (typ 262) with 35, 50 and 90 Color Skopar glass. Never have I been so enamoured with a camera. Would love Summicrons but I don't need them. Voigtländers are brilliant. Short throw focus, tabs on two of them and superb performance rendering colour I really enjoy.

Toulon, France.

These pictures were made on the way to Sardinia. My next blog post will be pictures made in Cagliari. I'll be here for a few days. I'll need time to get past the cliches first. Hopefully I can make it though to the other side and make some interesting pictures. Back soon.
