I’ve been travelling in Central and Eastern Europe throughout June, returning to London on the 29th, assuming transport isn’t too affected by extreme heat. It’s expected to hit 39 degrees in Cologne on Sunday, our starting point but likely mid 20s in London. We’ll see.
I was hoping to have gathered more material than I have thus far. But that’s hardly surprising as I tend to work better when solo. There were four of us starting out. Now we are three as son number two peeled off after Prague to holiday in Porto with his girlfriend.
My wife, eldest son and I are now hurtling across Germany at 180mph to Cologne for a couple of days.
I'm hugely thankful to my wife for making this trip possible. She was speaking at conferences in Sofia and Leipzig and invited us to accompany her and do some serious exploring.
I have been using my wee iPhone 13 Mini for a lot of pictures. Groups, selfies and generic images such that I can be reminded of the places I’ve visited. I use the Leica for the off kilter oddities that I hope will make up the next Passerby book and feed my commercial agent for licensing. And should any gems appear - prints.
Here are some images I’m happy with.
