It's time to get this London Is My Muse show on the road.
Yesterday I set out to specifically make a picture for LIMM. A low light, handheld reworking of a picture I'd made before. First time yielded a beauty but the lens wasn't right so yesterday's efforts were about using excellent Fuji glass rather than an adapted old Nikkor G lens which was incapable of resolving the detail of the modern Fuji sensor.
The resulting picture is similar but not better.
I also caught a glimpse of myself at work while passing traffic illuminated me.
I work a lot at night and have become highly sensitised to everything that goes on around me so as to be secure and alert to any threat.
The audience for my handmade books is growing all the while and I have several repeat buyers which is brilliant.
I'd like to establish an audience for my prints now too. I'll be concentrating on London - a sort of character study of the place itself. Its infrastructure, architecture and landmarks. In various lighting and weather conditions. These will be for personal and commercial spaces. Initially I'll be offering A4 and A2 prints in collaboration with theprintspace.
There's now an Instagram page for this project where I hope to gather some potential collectors and bring them to my website and newsletter.
Please share with anyone you think might enjoy this work.
Thank you.
