‘SOLIVAGANTS’
A new fiction-photobook hybrid
Solivagants is the latest book by London-based street photographer Paul Treacy, a fine-print photobook featuring a range of short fictional writings by son Eoin Treacy. This brand-new edition of the project features a vastly expanded collection of both photographic and literary elements, including an introduction by Eoin Treacy.
This edition is the definitive version of the Solivagant Project. A previous iteration of the work was released in the spring of 2021, self-published alongside Paul Treacy’s recent works. This preliminary volume of Solivagant received a resoundingly positive reception, with customer reviews such as “a beguiling and poignant narrative (...) photos that draw the viewer in and make you want to know more”. The product was, however, a much smaller photo zine of only thirteen pieces. The new Solivagant volume features fifty photographs and fictions alongside them – now in hardback form, brought to you by TreacyPhoto.
The Solivagant Project is the first to include writing from his son, an aspiring author. The first hardback of Solivagants appeared at Photo London 2025.
Some comments about my handmade books:
"Hey Paul, Thank you for the photo book, which is an absolute joy. I loved the pictures, and found it such a beautiful object, made with such precision and economy, containing such a deceptively large amount of content and texturally so extremely pleasing. A real treasure."
"Oh lawdy lawdy lawdy, you have put a huge smile on my face this morning! You know why! THANK YOU, the book is gorgeous."
"I am loving the photo books, which I pick up and look through with a cup of tea frequently. Of course the more you look, the more you see."
'I’m excited about having a growing set of these."
"I love the way you see things. It’s always interesting, and each package is a treat when it comes."
"I got one of these. I'm really happy I did. Love it."
