LowLife Caddy

Had my eye on this car for a while. It’s on our route home from various regular family journeys. Every time I’d pass it, I’d scold myself for not yet having made a picture of it. Knowing all too well that it could disappear at any time.

Yesterday, before the heat kicked in, I set off on foot to work this beast of a car into a set of pictures. There and back was 12 thousand steps with some hills, so a solid day’s exercise.

Sun was high and bright for decent contrast. So this is just one set of images. I hope to make more in different conditions, particularly under a bright moon in the depths of night. I think the car would likely take on a different aura, more menacing perhaps.

Turns out my concerns over timing were correct. Spoke with the owner’s son, a car enthusiast like his father. This car is currently under auction. Along withLondon the Aston Martin behind it. Called LowLife, it has a fully hydraulic suspension system and can do all kinds of crazy tricks. Could be a smart investment for someone in the music video production game. But this is London rather than LA so maybe not.

I have a collection of rather excellent cars I’ve happened upon on London streets. Time to do something with them.

That’s all I have for you right now. Back soon.

Thanks for your time.
