Studio selfie portrait of photographer Paul Treacy in London

I’m Paul Treacy. Dublin born, London based. Compulsive photographer & self-publisher. Camera always to hand as life comes at me. Been at this for decades.

Have worked in news, documentary and high end commercial property photography. Forever seeking pictures for myself as I moved between assignments.

Initially trained in graphic design at art school in Ireland, I moved to the UK in '91 to complete my studies in photography but hated it, leaving early to photograph for local newspapers and eventually the nationals.

Moved to New York City in '99 to attend the Documentary Photography & Photojournalism Program at the International Center of Photography School.

Publications and clients have included The New York Times Magazine, Irish Times, BBC, CNN, Press Association, Apple, Court TV, A&E Network, Guardian, Sunday Times, CoStar Group UK and beyond.

These days I continue to photograph the mystery and menace in the everyday, bringing this work to market in carefully curated handmade photobooks and prints.
